Its very hard to organize a perfect event where everyone is happy with, so lets start by providing constructive comments. Someone's annual celebrations

Someone invited a few bunch of motley people to a chalet for a annual celebrations, if your asked to read this, your suppose to make a respond to Jo. We're also seeking ideas for a "tribute" aka gift's since its the 21st annual celebration. Hence, we're estimating about 20 gold pieces per person.

Your ideas will be considered so if you have any opinion of the matter, please speak and be considered, preferably please use the comment link and let us know. If you have no opinion, well we update everyone again when there is news. Tentatively, if there is any problems, please look for Jo.

For obvious reasons YS and KL has been left out cause i will assume that they will pitch to get their own gifts to her.

Final Word on Pot Luck

By now you should know what you are going to cook already and have already informed me. Try to make arrangement among yourself on how you want to bring the food. Re commanded you try to be early with a few friends and get to Sylvia's place to slack a while first.

Suggestion is to put all the food at sylvia's house first, until a few or more of us arrive, we can start to bring the food to the function room.

If anyone of you are thinking of bringing a rice cooker, by all means, please do so.

Pot Luck III - Latest Updates


Date: 13th June 2009 (Saturday)

Venue: West Mere Condominium Function Room

Time: Function Room will be opened from 10.00 AM to 10.00 PM



*Food are to be prepared latest by 6.30 PM & Dinner will start at 7.30 PM


I will recommend everyone to time yourself probably to reach by 4.00 pm so that we all can have a little bit of fun while waiting for the rest to turn up. You'll probably need to ready the ingredients one day before to save some time too.

Please take a look at the food list to know what food you probably can cook and avoid repeated items. There are a couple of people who are sharing cost/effort to bring one item to the table, hence you can share with another friend probably share between a max. 3 person to 1 item is highly recommended. Those who are sharing is already listed in the list already.

Quantity to prepare: Probably 15-20 people share should be more then enough. Its quite tough to estimate quantity, but here is my opinion. If there is too much food, we can takeaway some of the food back no issues. The main objective of the gathering is just to have a good time and have fun at the same time, with good food and greater company, and we all end the night with a smile.

Note On Timing:

I've asked Sylvia to book 2 time slots straight till the night from 10 AM to 10 PM, in case anybody liked to be there earlier to prepare or have fun at Sylvia's place, probably swimming or gym before the activity, maybe mahjong in the function room also can. I'll bring some card games to the table also.

Tentatively, what i need is a confirmation of attendance first, once confirmed i will make some coordination between people with regards to the food, probably 2 people can team up to bring one kind of food instead. Unless, your pretty sure you know what you want to bring i.e. Allan wants to bring his famous curry.

Brief Introduction:
Proudly Organized by LS & X. We have a idea to do Potluck and maybe a little BBQ by the side and have a small gathering at the same time. Hence, we will need your response of your attendance as soon as possible if your being invited. We are expecting about 30 to 35 attendance to this casual gathering, i need your response as soon as possible so that i can keep track of your attendance and what food you'll be bringing.

Cost: $5.00 + Bringing your own food.

About BBQ
Please email me also whether you'll like to see BBQ during this session or not, if there is enough people who wants to eat BBQ, most likely, we will bring/buy charcoal and set up, as for BBQ food you'll have to bring your own BBQ food to BBQ

About Food Choice
For food choice you may think about a few categories & choose one:

Appetizers | Finger Food | Mains | Soup | Desserts |

When preparing for food, prepare enough food probably that is enough for 15 to 20 PAX

Note on Desserts:
We cannot have everyone to bring only Desserts, hence i am expecting only about 5 to 6 people preparing only Dessert Items. First come first serve + subjected to Samuel's approval.

Note on Money Issues:
If we have enough people to bring a lot of food, we most likely will not be having BBQ, depends on the crowd. May I suggest that everyone chip in $5.00 to pool for payment for the rental of the function rooms as well as all the disposable items and drinks during the gathering.
